Philadelphia's main rail station
William H. Gray III 30th Street Station, at 2955 Market Street in University City, is where Philadelphia meets the national rail network. Amtrak's Acela, Northeast Regional and Keystone Service all stop here, along with long-distance trains. Every SEPTA Regional Rail line passes through, and NJ Transit's Atlantic City Line ends here.
For anyone on the Main Line heading to New York or Washington by train, the journey really starts with getting to 30th Street on time. That is the part we do.
When a car makes sense
- An early Acela. A car to the station door beats a pre-dawn local train connection.
- Luggage. For a long trip, one ride with your bags in the back is easier than carrying them through a transfer.
- A tight schedule. If the meeting in New York matters, do not leave the first leg to chance.
- Guests arriving. Relatives, clients and candidates coming in by train can be met and driven to the suburbs.
- A late return. Coming back on an evening train, your driver is waiting.
Finding each other at the station
The station is in the middle of a major renovation that runs into 2027, and work around the building can change where cars are able to stop. Before you travel, ask us where your driver will meet you, and share a mobile number so we can reach you when your train pulls in.
From our towns to the station
We drive to 30th Street from Villanova, Bryn Mawr, Wayne, Newtown Square, West Chester, King of Prussia and the rest of our service area. The Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) runs past the station, and Market Street leads to its door.
Business visitors
Companies in Radnor, Conshohocken and Malvern often have visitors arriving by train from New York or Washington. We can collect them at the station and bring them to your office. See corporate car service.
